Greg Purcell
Ranger
Greg Purcell is a proud Yaegl and Gumbaynggirr Man and joins the Ngiyambandigay Wajaarr Team as a Ranger. Greg began his professional journey with a love for the ocean, starting as a commercial diver in the coral industry for three years. After this experience, Greg was motivated to build his professional skills going on to complete formal training in mastering commercial vessels, where he obtained a Coxswains Grade 1 NC certification. He is passionate about being out on Country, particularly the water, which being a Ranger with Ngiyambandigay Wajaarr enables him to do. Every day is new and exciting, and he is able to care for Country through this role as a ranger. Greg’s long-term career goals are to educate others and give them the skills and knowledge to also protect and enjoy Country.
