Reconnect.
Rehabilitate.
Revitalise.

Ngiyambandigay Wajaarr Aboriginal Corporation (NWAC) is a First Nations-governed not-for-profit organisation that aims to reconnect Gumbayngggirr people to Country, rehabilitate our lands and waters and revitalise Gumbaynggirr lifeways for the benefit of the whole community while creating economic, social and educational opportunities for First Nations people.

We exist to revitalise and reinstate our cultural life, ways and systems, heal traumas and create positive change throughout the Gumbaynggirr community.

The Gumbaynggirr nation's homeland is made up of sea country, mountain ranges, ancient escarpments, plateaus and valleys of the Great Dividing Range. These are home to Rainforests of World Heritage Significance which provide habitat for many threatened species.

The coast encompasses headlands, rivers/estuaries, coastal ranges, lowlands forests, as well as Sea Country extending to the Solitary Islands. These ecosystems, habitats and species are of International significance and are central to the cultural and spiritual values of the Gumbaynggirr People.
